SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst with 5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, report creation, and dynamic BI visualization. This opportunity is perfect for a self-starter with tremendous analytic creativity and excitement for being given significant responsibility and autonomy in bringing analytic insights to business owners. This role will be responsible for analyzing healthcare utilization, cost, operations, HCC/risk adjustment, and HEDIS Stars quality performance to drive strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will have expert skills in translating complex datasets into actionable insights for business stakeholders and delivering best-in-class BI visualizations.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development of dynamic, best-in-class Tableau BI visualizations
  • Develop and maintain analytics, reports, and dashboards focused on healthcare utilization, cost, operations, risk adjustment, and HEDIS/ACO quality measures.
  • Analyze trends in claims data, provider performance, and patient outcomes to identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvement.
  • Support HCC risk adjustment initiatives by evaluating risk scores and diagnostic gaps.
  • Monitor and assess HEDIS Stars quality measures to drive performance improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, operational, and IT teams, to identify and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Design and automate recurring reports and ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives.
  • Extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets using SQL, Python, R, or other analytical tools.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on healthcare cost, utilization patterns, and risk adjustment strategies.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reporting and analytics functions.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Significant experience working with ACO REACH, MSSP, and Medicare Advantage programs (MA, DSNP, CSNP)
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting within a managed care, value-based care, and/or health insurance setting.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare claims data, risk adjustment models (HCC), and quality measurement frameworks (HEDIS, Stars, ACO REACH, ACO MSSP).
  • Proficiency in data table management and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Mastery skills with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Experience working with large datasets in a healthcare environment.

 PREFERRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics in healthcare.
  • Understanding of financial modeling and cost containment strategies in accountable care and managed care.

 EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Business Analytics, Statistics or Applied Math, Public Health, or a related field.

TRAVEL

This role may require some travel based on business needs.

SALARY RANGE

  • $110,000-$118,000 Annually
