Belong Health is seeking a mission-driven Physician Leader to help refine and lead clinical care delivery programs. This individual will oversee Belong’s virtual and home-based medical group, drive excellence in risk adjustment and quality performance, and foster deep physician engagement across regions. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial clinician leader who thrives in a dynamic, start-up environment and is passionate about advancing value-based care.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Belong Medical Group

  • Provide vision and operational leadership for Belong Health’s virtual and home-based medical group leading a team of MD/DO, Advanced Practice Providers (APP’s), and Ancillary Medical Staff to provide care to patient populations in innovative models addressing key gaps in care.
  • Partner with clinical operations, technology, product and patient engagement teams to design and scale workflows that deliver high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Lead the training and continuous education and improvement of clinical teams.
  • Ensure operational rigor, continuous improvement, compliance and accountability for clinical and business performance.

Advance Risk & Quality Performance

  • Develop and execute strategies to ensure accurate risk adjustment through proactive documentation and coding practices.
  • Lead the design and deployment of programs to close HEDIS and Stars quality gaps in close collaboration with analytics and care delivery teams.
  • Monitor performance, identify improvement opportunities, and translate insights into action.

Engage and Align Physicians

  • Serve as a trusted partner and ambassador to regional physician networks, health systems, and community providers.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships that strengthen referral pathways, enhance coordination, and align incentives.
  • Support education and engagement activities that help community physicians succeed in value-based care.

What We’re Looking For

  • A mission-driven leader who thrives on building, problem-solving, and innovating in service of patients.
  • MD/DO with active, unrestricted license and board certification in internal medicine, primary care, family medicine, emergency medicine, or geriatrics.
  • 5+ years of clinical experience, including leadership of a medical group and experience with value-based care. Experience managing remote clinical workforces is highly valued.
  • Proven ability to design and execute complex care delivery models from scratch. Preferred experience building care delivery models within a startup.
  • Proven track record of driving strategy and operations in value-based care models (ACO, Medicare Advantage, or risk-bearing contracts).
  • Expertise in risk adjustment (HCC documentation) and HEDIS/Stars quality performance.
  • Demonstrated success in building teams, managing complexity, and delivering results in entrepreneurial fast-growth environments.
  • Exceptional communicator and collaborator with the ability to build trust across levels and functions in an organization, including with clinicians, operators, and executives
  • Understanding of clinical systems and tools (cloud-based EHR, scheduling system, needed to operate virtual care and ability to collaborate with product and technology teams to advance systems to support care needs.

SALARY

$230,000-$280,000
