What You'll Do in the Role:

  • Build and Scale the Product Marketing Function – Establish and optimize product marketing processes, ensuring alignment with Sales, Product, and Customer Success. Lay the groundwork for long-term growth, setting strategies that scale as we expand.
  • Own the Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy & Execution – Develop and drive end-to-end GTM motions, from new product launches to feature adoption and revenue acceleration.
  • Be a Strategic Leader & Cross-Functional Influencer.  Partner closely with senior leadership across Product, Sales, and Customer Success to align on strategic priorities and ensure product marketing efforts drive business outcomes.  Lead with influence rather than authority, guiding cross-functional teams toward shared goals and fostering a culture of collaboration and customer-centric decision-making.
  • Be the Cross-Functional Glue – Act as the strategic bridge between Product, Sales, and Customer Success, ensuring all teams are aligned and working toward shared goals.
  • Develop Positioning & Messaging – Create clear, differentiated product messaging that speaks to our audience’s needs and drives demand.
  • Drive Revenue Growth & Product Adoption – Partner with Customer Success to ensure customers fully adopt and maximize BenchPrep’s offerings, increasing wallet share and retention. Support Sales with messaging and enablement to drive new logo acquisition.
  • Lead Sales & Customer Enablement – Equip internal teams with compelling assets, training, and competitive intelligence to improve win rates and enhance customer experience.
  • Conduct Market & Competitive Research – Analyze the competitive landscape, market trends, and customer insights to influence product roadmap decisions and refine GTM strategies.
  • Establish Key Metrics & Drive Performance – Define and measure success for product marketing initiatives, tracking the impact on revenue, adoption, and market growth.

What You Can Expect:

A High-Impact, Leadership-Driven Role: This is an individual contributor position with significant leadership responsibilities. While you won’t have direct reports, you will play a key role in shaping strategy, aligning stakeholders, and driving execution at the highest levels.

  • A High-Impact, Autonomous Role – This is an individual contributor position where you’ll take full ownership of the product marketing function and play a key role in shaping its future.
  • Fast-Paced, Agile Environment – BenchPrep is in a high-growth phase, and you’ll need to be comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in a dynamic setting.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – You’ll work closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to align product marketing initiatives with company goals.
  • Opportunities for Innovation – You’ll have the freedom to experiment, refine, and optimize GTM strategies, ensuring that we’re consistently improving.
  • A Strategic & Executional Balance – You’ll define strategy but also execute, ensuring that product marketing delivers measurable business outcomes.

How You’ll Become Successful:

  • Lead with Influence & Drive Alignment – Work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure product marketing efforts align with company objectives.
  • Take Ownership While Collaborating for Impact – You’ll have the autonomy to lead and shape the product marketing function, but you won’t be doing it alone. You’ll work closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to align strategies, share insights, and drive execution together.
  • Effectively Align Cross-Functional Teams – Success in this role requires breaking down silos and ensuring Product, Sales, and Customer Success are working in sync.
  • Develop & Execute Scalable GTM Strategies – You’ll need to balance short-term execution with long-term strategic planning, ensuring sustainable success.
  • Use Data to Drive Decisions – Define key metrics, analyze performance, and iterate on strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Adapt & Thrive in a Changing Environment – As BenchPrep evolves, you’ll need to adjust strategies quickly and stay ahead of market trends.

Skills & Experiences We Value:

  • 6+ years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience – EdTech experience is a plus!
  • Proven success in building and scaling product marketing functions, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Expertise in go-to-market execution, including product launches, adoption strategies, and revenue optimization.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to align teams across Product, Sales, and Customer Success.
  • Exceptional storytelling and messaging abilities, with experience creating compelling positioning and sales enablement content.
  • A data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze performance and continuously refine marketing strategies.
  • Ability to operate autonomously, take initiative, and drive impact without heavy oversight.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
