About the Role

 The Sales Account Executive, Better Insurance will be responsible for growing the book of business through outbound prospecting and helping Bennie’s employee benefit customers identify opportunities to improve their portfolio of P&C insurance solutions.  This person should have a strong understanding of the P&C insurance market, the insurance products most often needed by the SMB market, and a high level of comfort regularly speaking with C-level executives. This role will have a sales/production goal and compensation will be a salary + commission commensurate with production.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, etc
  • Ability to target specific sized companies by employee count, gross revenue, industry vertical, geography, or other means
  • Deeply understand all common P&C products and how they work
  • Explain value of products to clients and prospects to craft solution
  • Work with carriers and wholesalers to procure coverage proposals 
  • Deeply understand state-by-state coverage issues (FL property, CA in general etc.)
  • Regularly present to companies and their leadership teams, both existing customers to Bennie and customers not yet part of the Bennie family
  • Basic knowledge of how to use an Agency Management System
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment  
Requirements:
  • 3-6 years of experience in the P&C industry with at least 1-2 years in a sales/production role
  • Active Property & Casualty License
Nice to Have:
  • Salesforce/LinkedIn prospecting experience 

 

Compensation: 

 

We offer a competitive salary range for this position, from USD75,000 to USD100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. On top of this, a commission structure is provided that allows for uncapped commissions based on production. In addition to salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible PTO, health insurance, retirement plans, and the option to work in a remote environment.
