Junior Accountant (AU Firm)(open to fresh graduates)
Makati, Makati, Philippines
What you will do
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Accountant to join our team at Bentleys Queensland. This is a role that promises a stimulating and fulfilling start to your career.
- As a Junior accountant in our Business Services team, you’ll be building the foundations of your accounting career while contributing to real client work from day one.
- You’ll prepare Financial statements and tax returns with plenty of guidance, support BAS and IAS processes and get hands on experience applying Australian tax legislation in practice.
- You’ll help gather data for tax planning and advisory documents, assist with ATO lodgements, draft basic client correspondence and support the team (both AU and PH based) with general accounting tasks.
- You’ll learn how our systems and processes work, collaborate closely with AU Managers and PH Leaders, and develop confidence as you take on more responsibility.
- You’ll participate in internal training, attend webinars, and learn on the job while gaining exposure to Australian accounting software, compliance processes and advisory work. You’ll be supported by a team that genuinely enjoys helping Junior Accountants grow.
What we are looking for
- You're a well organised, self-starter with confidence. You've got your accounting degree and now you're ready to put your skills to the test in our Junior Accountant role.
- You pride yourself on your ability to communicate and build genuine connection with a wide range of people. You'll be empowered to manage your own time and can be counted on to meet your goals. You'll think ahead and show initiative while we support and mentor you, developing your practical ability.
- You're comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and you're familiar with or eager to learn Australian accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks. You may have some early awareness of Australian tax legislation (but also may not), and you're enthusiastic about building real technical capability.
- You're proactive, curious, and eager to learn. You take responsibility for your work, communicate openly and honestly, and aren't afraid to ask questions when something is new. You enjoy collaborating with others, contributing positively to team culture, and you take pride in producing accurate work. You're someone who seeks feedback, values continuous development, and is committed to delivering a great client experience—qualities that reflect The Bentleys Experience.
