Senior Accountant (6 Month Contract)
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of tasks to help the Finance team deliver a timely service to internal and external stakeholders. The core focus is to process reconciliations PH payroll, AP, AR, and EOM for all Australian and PH entities.
About the Role

End-to-end accounts receivable, including debt collection, overdue invoice management and daily cash reconciliation to APS Time and Bill system, client liaison for any AR queries.

Maintain system integrity such as Time records/general ledger/accounts in EXO and Xero.

Bank reconciliation for all entities (Australia & PH) on daily basis.

End-to-end accounts payables, including supplier onboarding, credit card reconciliation, AP invoice approval checks and payments. Assist in managing supplier master data in the new finance core system.

EOM close: assist group reporting specialist and operational finance lead to prepare journals related to end of month activities. Including fixed asset depreciation, prepayments, expense accruals, balance sheet reconciliation etc.

Preparation of various tax compliance requirements, including but not limit to income tax/GST/BAS for Australian entities, Philippines.

Assist Operation finance lead with any ad hoc requirements
What we are looking for
The role will suit an experienced accountant who is looking for the next step in their Australian accounting professional career. Additionally, the successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in accounting and finance
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Sound skills in Microsoft Excel and experience using financial systems and non-financial systems. e.g., Xero, MYOB, APS timesheet, Sprout. Preferably has large ERP system experience.
- Previous experience in a similar role, working within a team environment, demonstrating a collaborative and supportive approach with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated quality service experience working in an environment with tight timeframes, multiple priorities, while achieving outcomes and key deliverables.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strongly detail-oriented with a heavy focus on maintaining accuracy and integrity of accounts.
- Commitment to quality service and client relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
