Working Student Industrial Product Design (f/m/x)

As a Product Design Working Student at BBG, you'll be an essential part of our Product Management team including 3 team members, influencing great design and supporting project completion. Our team stands out for its unwavering commitment to outstanding design, which impacts every product we create through trending colors, materials, and finishes. Your contributions will include conducting market and competitor research to create mood boards and design guidelines, supporting the development of new CMF concepts, and producing detailed design specification sheets for our global suppliers. What you will do:  

  • Conduct market and competitor research to create mood boards and design guidelines 
  • Support the design team in developing and refining CMF (Color, Material, Finish) concepts for new and existing products 
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive design specification sheets that communicate design intent, finishes, and technical requirements 
  • Produce clean and precise line drawings and technical illustrations for use in Instruction Manuals and documentation 
  • Create high-quality renderings for presentations, product development, internal reviews and design specifications for mass production

 

What we are looking for:  

  • Enrolled student in the field of product / industrial design or a related design discipline for at least another year 
  • Availability to work 20 hours per week as a working student
  • Exceptional communication skills, ensuring clear and effective interactions within the team  
  • Understanding of Color, Material & Finish (CMF) principles 
  • Ability to create precise line drawings for manuals and technical documentation. 
  • Software Requirements: Strong Rhino 3D skills and good usage of Keyshot for product rendering; Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator). Understanding of Figma and ideally Blender. Familiarity with Microsoft Office. 
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken
