Talent & People Development Specialist
What will you be in charge of?
We are looking for a talent-driven generalist to own the full people lifecycle - from the moment we decide to hire someone to the moment they walk through the door, and everything that keeps them growing while they are here. You will run end-to-end recruitment across all levels and departments, build a structured onboarding experience, and gradually shape how we develop our people. You will also act as HR business partner for some of ours departments. If you thrive on autonomy, like building things from scratch, and want a role that grows with you - this is it.
Talent Acquisition:
- Own the full recruitment cycle for all open positions: intake briefing, job description, sourcing, screening, interviews, offer, and pre-boarding handover.
- Build proactive sourcing pipelines via LinkedIn, job boards, direct outreach, referrals, and partnerships - so we always have candidates ready, not just when a role opens.
- Write compelling job postings and contribute to employer branding.
- Conduct structured, competency-based interviews and lead hiring manager debriefs; keep the process rigorous and the candidate experience consistently strong.
- Coach hiring managers on interviewing, candidate assessment, and market realities.
- Own the ATS, track key metrics (time-to-fill, source mix, offer acceptance rate), and use the data to make us better.
Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Design and own a structured onboarding programme - built around the actual experience, not just day-one paperwork.
- Create tailored tracks for different employee populations: office, warehouse/operations, and senior or specialist hires.
- Conduct exit interviews for all departing employees; analyse patterns and present retention insights to the management.
Learning and Development:
- Run an annual training needs analysis with the People Manager and department heads.
- Maintain a training calendar, manage external vendor relationships, and track completions.
- Progressively take on L&D strategy ownership - recommending priorities and contributing to the annual learning budget.
HR Business Partnering:
- Act as HR business partner for some of ours departmens.
- Attend regular team meetings, surface people issues early, and support line managers with practical day-to-day guidance.
- Handle first-line HR queries from partnered departments and escalate complex cases to the People Manager.
And we expect you to...
Have a background
- 3-5 years in talent acquisition or an HR generalist role - ideally in-house; agency background combined with solid internal experience is welcome.
- A proven track record of independently running end-to-end recruitment across multiple levels and functions.
- Experience with both office and warehouse/operational hiring is a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated experience designing or meaningfully improving an onboarding programme.
- Familiarity with Slovak labour law sufficient for day-to-day business partnering.
Language skills
- Slovak - Advanced (C1)
- English - Upper intermediate (B2)
You will fit in with us because you...
- Build pipelines before roles open - you are proactive, not reactive.
- Can push back on a hiring manager, manage expectations on timelines, and influence without authority.
- Track your metrics and use them to make a case for doing things better.
- Write clear job postings and outreach messages that actually get responses.
- Are comfortable in ambiguity and would rather build the playbook than wait for one.
- L&D experience (facilitation, instructional design, or a relevant certification) is a plus.
