Are you up for the opportunity of a lifetime? If so, we are seeking an Inside Sales Representative, who will Develop sales through prospecting and servicing new and existing customers. Increase revenue by targeting and winning sales across a broad base of customers, typically small and mid-range customers. Drive multiple aspects of the sales cycle -- identify and develop leads, qualify the leads, understand customer needs, develop the value proposition, negotiate and close business.
This position is intended to start as an Inside Sales role with a clear path and expectation to transition into a Field Outside Sales position based on performance and readiness.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing customer accounts and current book of business.
- Perform quarterly business reviews with top customers to determine any changes and future opportunities.
- Outbound customer outreach averages 10-15 calls daily.
- Retain accounts by providing excellent service and value.
- Increase share of wallet by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts.
- Generate new business from provided contacts to meet/exceed company goals.
- Effectively use SalesForce-SFDC tool for follow-up, sale cycle disposition, pipeline management, forecasting and lost opportunity tracking. Keeps comprehensive and accurate notes in the system.
- Work with cross functional teams including supply chain, billing, merchandising, and customer service to provide satisfactory solutions from the customer perspective in order to retain business, and leverage communication from other departments to identify sales opportunities.
- Establish effective supplier relationships and product knowledge.
- Utilize and maintain a thorough knowledge of Berlin Packaging’s sales resources and service divisions.
- Support Branch metrics.
- Fulfill employee portion of the “Berlin Values”.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- 3 years of B2B customer service or inside sales experience required
- Passionate people person, who cares about nurturing customer relationships, creates a professional yet personal rapport. Builds trust, which leads to customer loyalty
- Understands the business goals, drivers, and needs of customers. Is service-oriented and ready to go the extra mile for their customers
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized
- Strong business and financial acumen; understands and can articulate the Berlin Packaging value proposition, products, services, customers, and suppliers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal, and active listening.
- Effectively partners with internal teams and uses sales tools to accelerate results.
- An exceptional level of motivation, desire, and competitiveness.
- Is proactive-operates with a high sense of urgency; demonstrates strong time management skills; ability to prioritize and follow up.

IL Base Pay Range
$60,000 - $80,000 USD
