The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for execution of daily activities within the warehouse. This includes staffing, training, and scheduling of all warehouse associates / operators. Maintain a safe work environment for all employees, including compliance to all safety regulations and guidelines. Responsible for daily decision making as it relates to team performance, efficiency, safety, quality, and customer thrill.
Key Accountabilities:
• Provide hands-on supervision of warehouse staff to maximize team productivity and efficiency.
• Plan daily workloads to ensure customer orders are delivered on time.
• Provide training and development to warehouse associates and operators; ensure employees are up to date and in compliance with policy training.
• Monitor and enhance individual performance through clearly defined expectations, training and coaching to achieve desired results.
• Generate ideas and implement changes in processes to increase efficiency, improve safety and quality, reduce costs, and improve employee engagement.
• Completes the employee evaluation and performance management process.
• Maintain efficient, accurate and orderly warehouse to sustain all cGMP and ISO Standards
• Work with internal groups to service the customer and deliver branch metrics.
• Serve as a role model for the employer and employee portions of the Berlin Values
• Other tasks as required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of previous warehouse experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership and providing direction to others with the ability to resolve conflict, and provide others with feedback, direction, and skill development.
• Required to take and pass the Company Forklift Certification program, which ensures you will be able to operate a forklift in accordance with Berlin Packaging’s safety guidelines. Failure to pass the exam results in the Company ending your employment.
• High energy, positive attitude, and contributes to a positive team culture.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented and ability to analyze/solve problems and make decisions.
• Self-motivated; reliable, with strong initiative and results orientation.
• Strong computer skills.
Working Environment and Physical Requirements:
Must be able to frequently lift and move boxes weighing up to 20lbs and occasionally lift and move boxes and/or pallets up to 45lbs through warehouse environment.
IL Base Pay Range
$65,000 - $75,000 USD
