ABOUT THE ORCHESTRA FINANCE TEAM
The Orchestra Finance Team oversees financial results and works with our teams on client finance, growth strategies and the overall financial health of the company. We are responsible for the successful integration with our new partner companies as well as any future acquisition activity.
We work with management and other key agency stakeholders to drive profitability and monitor key performance indicators. We are growing a team of experienced finance professionals, change agents, Excel masters and complex problem-solvers to collaborate cross-functionally to assess financial strategies, systems and processes in an effort to drive the full-cycle financial health of all our clients.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
Orchestra is seeking a Client Finance Analyst who will own revenue accounting, financial forecasting, pricing, reporting & analysis and business risk assessment. This is an excellent opportunity for a solutions-oriented and analytically minded individual who will approach work with a sense of possibility, sees challenges as opportunities and has a relentless passion and curiosity for process improvement.
Job responsibilities include assisting with month-end close processes, providing summaries of monthly billing and reconciliations and more.
Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. The Finance team is in-office at least 3 days per week.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
As a Client Finance Analyst on the Finance team, you will…
- Provide day-to-day financial support to practices and assist with business management at the project and practice level
- Responsible for maintaining various financial trackers and reports (month-end reporting, budget trackers, financial statements, A/R, staff utilization, burn reports, WIP management, over-service reporting, etc.)
- Participate in the coordination of the annual budget and re-forecasts
- Proactively document, follow up on and close out in a timely fashion any revenue, budgeting, billing, invoicing or payment issues that pertain to client(s)
- Own AR function with billing supervisor, including pursuing timely collection with continuous internal & client follow-up and escalating collections issues as necessary
- Partner with practices to ensure monthly financial schedule is followed
- Prepare month-end journal entries for revenue and intercompany transfers if required
- Support in the monthly and annual budgeting processes
- Open and manage jobs in coordination with account teams
- Monitor jobs, estimates, POs and rate cards to ensure accuracy as well as project activity
- Serve as a reliable and forward-thinking business analytics resource on assigned practices and provide oversight to practices
- Lead and participate in financial meetings with internal teams
- Participate in any and all Sarbanes-Oxley initiatives and ad hoc projects as needed
Essential skills:
- 2+ years of experience in client finance
- Experience in NetSuite or similar accounting/ERP packages (SAP, Anaplan, Oracle)
- Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills (lookups, pivots, dashboards, advanced formulas, etc.)
- Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of GAAP, accruals and revenue accounting
- Clear and efficient communication skills with finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to effectively manage workload, prioritize and streamline tasks to ensure accuracy and take “ownership-mentality” in work, clients and practices
Preferred skills:
- Agency or client services experience (advertising, PR, communications, media or legal)
- Working knowledge of media finance and operations

Compensation philosophy: Orchestra offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.
Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills): $65,000-$85,000
