ABOUT THE ORCHESTRA FINANCE TEAM

The Orchestra Finance Team oversees financial results and works with our teams on client finance, growth strategies and the overall financial health of the company. We are responsible for the successful integration with our new partner companies as well as any future acquisition activity.

We work with management and other key agency stakeholders to drive profitability and monitor key performance indicators. We are growing a team of experienced finance professionals, change agents, Excel masters and complex problem-solvers to collaborate cross-functionally to assess financial strategies, systems and processes in an effort to drive the full-cycle financial health of all our clients.

 

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Orchestra is seeking an innovative and results-driven Director of Finance Transformation to lead the optimization of financial systems and processes. This role is integral to driving initiatives that enhance the scalability and efficiency of our financial operations. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of Finance Transformation, you will play a key role in supporting system integrations, reporting enhancements and strategic transformation projects.

This position requires close collaboration with functional and technical stakeholders to lead impactful cross-functional projects and foster the continuous evolution of Orchestra’s finance tools and systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates a deep understanding of accounting and finance requirements and excels at translating business needs into technical solutions. With expertise in accounting, program management and finance systems, you will shape the future of Orchestra’s financial ecosystem.

Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. The Finance team is in-office at least 3 days per week.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

As a Director of Finance Transformation on our Finance team, you will…

  • Function as the support contact for accounting and finance teams regarding system-related inquiries and troubleshooting
  • Translate accounting and business needs into system requirements, configure financial systems and develop customized reports to meet dynamic business needs
  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of financial tools and their integrations (i.e., NetSuite, Replicon and Vena)
  • Support strategic transformation projects that improve financial systems, processes and workflows while ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency and enhance system capabilities
  • Support the EVP of Finance Transformation in leading new tool implementations (i.e., Concur, CRM platforms, BI tools and legal contract systems)
  • Analyze current workflows, identify inefficiencies and recommend technology-driven improvements
  • Oversee seamless integration of new systems within existing environments and ensure timelines and budgets are met
  • Lead end-to-end project lifecycle activities, including planning, execution, user acceptance testing (UAT) and tracking progress
  • Ensure timely and successful project delivery by managing resources, timelines and deliverables effectively
  • Build strong relationships with functional stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable system plans and technical needs
  • Drive alignment between project objectives and broader business goals
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for projects, processes and systems to support organizational learning and transparency
  • Facilitate key project communications through kick-off meetings, status updates, steering committee briefings, demos, mock signoffs and retrospectives
  • Leverage existing and new tools to develop reporting capabilities, slicing data by client, project type, sector, service offering, revenue and compensation metrics
  • Automate reporting processes for intercompany projects, client profitability, utilization and other critical KPIs
  • Provide actionable insights through ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Identify training needs and develop tailored content for various stakeholder groups
  • Collaborate with leadership and change networks to deliver communication plans and creative engagement activities to drive adoption and understanding of key changes
  • Monitor and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies in collaboration with the EVP of Finance Transformation

Essential skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Change Management or a related field
  • 8-10 years of experience in strategic finance transformations and technology implementations
  •  Proven track record in full-cycle finance system implementations, including analysis, design, testing and support
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, staying within budget and maintaining high standards
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced project management expertise with experience collaborating across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new systems, tools and changing priorities
  • Self-motivated, with a strong ability to work independently and in team settings
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred skills:

  • Experience working with PR agencies or professional services firms
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite and complementary finance applications
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Intermediate SQL experience

WORKING AT ORCHESTRA

Compensation philosophy: Orchestra offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.

Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills): $120,000-$160,000

Directors are eligible for end of year bonuses based on firm, team and individual performance.
