Our Cities team helps visionary organizations and advocates who are working to shape complex strategies for mission-driven institutions; win policies for fairer cities, racial equity and economic opportunity; increase access to affordable housing and expand infrastructure; and help champion innovative architecture and design projects.
We help visionary companies in the arts, architecture, design, higher education and real estate that are shaping the future of cities. We are working in partnership with some of the most forward-looking institutions in and around NYC, including the Juilliard School, Princeton University Art Museum, Queens Museum, Lincoln Center, BAM, 92NY, Brooklyn Public Library and Fotografiska, among many others.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
BerlinRosen is seeking an Account Coordinator to join the Cities team. This position provides a unique opportunity to begin building a career with a talented and motivated team working with clients that are shaping the future of New York and beyond—from the built environment and design of the future, to the cultural institutions that make our city one of the most dynamic and exciting urban environments on earth. You will support a variety of strategic communications plans by owning media relations, project management and writing tasks. The position is ideal for candidates with internship or other relevant experience in strategic communications, journalism or the arts. Excellent writing and organizational skills are a must.
Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. The Cities team is in-office 3 days per week.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
As an Account Coordinator on the Cities team, you will…
- Implement strategy and campaign planning for multiple high-profile accounts
- Pitch and place media stories across local, regional and national outlets
- Write and edit persuasive external and internal documents such as press releases, op-eds, fact sheets, talking points, editorial board memos and communications plans
- Oversee day-to-day communications with clients, including staffing weekly calls, developing press recaps and participating in crisis communications, as necessary
- Manage work streams across multiple accounts in the arts and culture sector
Essential skills:
- Internship or other relevant experience in strategic communications
- Demonstrated knowledge of the international art world, with an emphasis in North America and Europe
- Interest in PR specifically within the arts and culture space
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with a team to meet group objectives
WORKING AT BERLINROSEN
Compensation philosophy: BerlinRosen offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.
The salary for this role is $64,350.
