Communications Project Coordinator

We are seeking an energetic, highly organized Communications Project Coordinator to serve as the operational backbone of our Communications Team. This role will own the systems, logistics, and day-to-day workflows that keep our communications function running at its best, enabling our team and agency partners to focus on strategy and storytelling. You'll be the connective tissue between the Communications team and the rest of BETA, running weekly office hours, triaging requests, and building relationships with teams across the company. How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
- Manage intake for incoming announcements, project requests, and questions coming through the Communications Slack channel, ensuring everything is captured, routed, and tracked
- Host weekly Communications office hours as the first point of contact for teams across BETA seeking communications support, triaging needs and routing to the right owner
- Own the Communications calendar and weekly operating rhythm, keeping deadlines, milestones, and media opportunities visible and on track across the team
- Manage the speaking proposal pipeline, tracking submissions, routing requests for review, and keeping submitters informed on status
- Maintain the Communications Confluence page as the team's source of truth for processes, templates, and reference materials
- Manage the team's subscriptions inventory, action item tracker, and renewal schedule, ensuring nothing lapses and the team has the tools it needs
- Monitor the press@beta.team inbox, triaging inbound media requests and ensuring every inquiry is acknowledged and directed to the right relationship owner
- Compile media coverage reports that track sentiment, press activity, and campaign performance
- Prepare weekly team recaps and agendas ahead of team meetings
- Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and prep for media and communications trainings
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Communications, Business, Journalism, or related field)
- 2 to 4 years of experience in communications, project coordination, executive support, or operations
- Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail
- Energetic, personable, and collaborative with a genuine enthusiasm for working across teams
- Proactive by nature, anticipating needs before they become problems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Slack, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and scheduling or project management tools (e.g. Asana, Trello, Monday.com)
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment with sound judgment and discretion
Above and Beyond Qualifications:
- Experience supporting a communications, marketing, or PR team in an operational or coordination capacity
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools (eg. Muck Rack, Cision) or CMS platforms
- Genuine enthusiasm for aviation, clean energy, or technology
- Desire to grow into broader communications, media relations, or public affairs roles over time
The wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role. We pay competitively and base compensation on a variety of factors including skills, experience, industry background, and the evolving needs of the role. Compensation
$70,000 - $85,000 USD
