BETA Technologies Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Team Manager (SCM) to lead strategic and tactical procurement and subcontracting activities for systems and interior components supporting BETA’s aircraft programs. The chosen candidate will manage buyers and subcontract administrators while partnering with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Program teams to ensure supplier performance, cost, quality, and schedule objectives are achieved. A successful candidate will be a collaborator with an exceptional ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • Lead procurement and subcontracting activities for assigned systems, interiors, and related components.
  • Develop procurement plans, acquisition strategies, SOWs, RFPs, and supplier selection recommendations.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contracts, pricing, and other supplier agreements.
  • Manage supplier performance related to cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and schedule.
  • Identify and mitigate supplier risks and support production readiness and ramp.
  • Provide commercial and procurement leadership during program and supplier reviews.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Program teams to resolve supplier and commercial issues.
  • Establish category and supplier priorities and ensure appropriate coverage of assigned parts and components.
  • Develop and mentor buyers and subcontract administrators, building a high-performing procurement team.
  • Establish and improve procurement processes, tools, and performance metrics.
  • Provide clear communication and recommendations to leadership and maintain appropriate commercial authority.
  • 25% travel (minimum)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain, or the equivalent in work experience.
  • 10+ years of procurement experience.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Experience managing complex supplier portfolios and procurement categories.
  • Experience in category management of aerospace system & interior categories
  • Experience working with global suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong commercial, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skill

Above and Beyond Qualifications:

  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, advanced manufacturing, automotive, space, or defense.
  • Experience with aircraft systems, interiors, electrical systems, power electronics, interconnects, batteries, avionics, or complex assemblies.
  • Experience supporting products through development, certification, production, and ramp.
  • Experience with supplier capacity, risk management, and supplier development.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, FAA requirements, or other aerospace quality standards.
  • Experience developing procurement processes, governance, and performance metrics.
  • PMP, CPSM, CPIM, or similar certification.

The wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role. We pay competitively and base compensation on a variety of factors including skills, experience, industry background, and the evolving needs of the role. Compensation

$110,000 - $140,000 USD
