Associate Supplier Development Engineer, Supplier Quality

We are seeking an Associate Supplier Development Engineer to support a cross functional team of Manufacturing Engineers, Procurement, and Design Engineering. In this role you will be help evaluate current and potential supplier capabilities, assist in the evaluation of suppliers, develop and implement improvement plans, improve delivery, and cost performance throughout the supply chain for ground support equipment (GSE). Successful candidates will proactively solve and drive overall supplier development to ensure delivery, quality, and continuous process improvements.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • Identify product improvements to improve producibility, lower risk, and reduce costs
  • As required, act as a technical liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to provide technical support
  • Assist in driving effective corrective actions to resolve complex manufacturing defects and eliminate root cause
  • Assist in the Inspection of parts and assemblies to improve both Beta TDP and Suppliers delivered Quality
  • Determine and develop quality requirements in alignment to ISO 9001
  • Determine, define, and develop processes to support quality requirements and business practices/needs
  • Conduct supplier assessments to evaluate processes in place and drive continuous improvement at suppliers
  • Demonstrate innovation, technical excellence, attention to detail, self-direction, and courage

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience
  • BA/BS degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent years of experience
  • US Person
  • Experience in using Digital Product Definition, 2D drawings, drafting standards, and GD&T
  • Experience working in a Lean/Manufacturing Engineering position

Above and Beyond Qualifications:

  • Experience reviewing of First Article Inspections per AS9102 or auditing per AS9100D.
  • Experience integrating ISO 9001 requirements into systems and processes
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally
  • Knowledge of aircraft structures, systems, or interiors will be considered an asset
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Understanding of design for assembly, lean manufacturing, and capacity planning techniques
  • Experience in drafting and implementing manufacturing and quality processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

The wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role. We pay competitively and base compensation on a variety of factors including skills, experience, industry background, and the evolving needs of the role. Compensation

$85,000 - $105,000 USD
