Cloud and Infra Platform Architect

We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Infrastructure Platform Architect to design, implement, and evolve our hybrid infrastructure platform across both on-premises systems and AWS cloud environments. This role demands a technically skilled individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates a growth mindset, and sets a high bar for documentation, self-learning, and team development. 

You will be at the heart of shaping the architecture of our Infrastructure Platform, with a key focus on high availability, scalability, automation, and developer empowerment. This role goes beyond maintaining existing systems, you’ll lead the continuous evolution of our infrastructure by proactively reviewing current architecture, identifying gaps, and introducing innovative technologies and practices that drive performance, resilience, and efficiency.  

Your insights and hands-on contributions will directly influence how our platforms operate and scale, enabling our engineering teams to build and deliver faster, safer, and more reliably. Through experimentation, benchmarking, and a strong feedback loop with developers, you’ll help define the future of our platform stack and establish a culture of excellence in infrastructure platform engineering. 

A taster of what you will be involved with: 

• Architect and Maintain Infrastructure Platforms: Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure solutions across both on-prem and AWS environments. 

• Cloud Engineering: Develop and manage AWS resources, including edge computing solutions, ensuring cost optimization and compliance with security standards. 

• Container Orchestration: Build and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms, enabling GitOps and seamless CI/CD processes. 

• Event Streaming & Messaging: Architect and support event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, and related technologies. 

• Automation & Deployment: Drive automation across infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment pipelines. 

• Documentation & Standards: Set and uphold high-quality documentation standards for architectural designs, infrastructure procedures, and best practices. 

• Collaboration & Mentoring: Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and product teams. Mentor peers and cultivate a collaborative, growth-oriented culture. 

• Innovation & Exploration: Stay current with industry trends and explore new technologies that can drive value and performance improvements. 

 

What we are looking for

As an Infrastructure Platform Architect you will have several stakeholders such as: 

• Development teams 

• Product owners 
• Security teams 
• Internal Area teams 
• Peer Architects  

• 5+ years in Infrastructure or Platform Engineering with hands-on experience in architecture design. 

• Proven expertise in: 

• Kubernetes (K8s) deployment, scaling, and management 

• Kafka and RabbitMQ, with solid understanding of event streaming and messaging systems 

• AWS services (e.g., EC2, EKS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and edge computing solutions like CloudFront or AWS Cloud Functions) 

• GitOps principles (Argo), infrastructure as code (Terraform and Ansible), and CI/CD practices 

• Strong understanding of security, networking, and monitoring in hybrid environments. 

• Experience with Linux and Widnows systems administration and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) is a plus.
