Initiatives - Programme Associate

Malta

The Wow

As a Junior Programme Manager, you will support Programmes within Product Development, by driving programme operations, managing small projects, and ensuring structured planning, tracking, and reporting. You’ll combine delivery execution with programme management and work with cross-functional teams to drive progress. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically minded, and collaborative, with strong analytical and communication skills.

A taster of what you will be involved with:

  • Support the Programme Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring programme-level activities and deliverables.
  • Define, manage and drive smaller projects and/or initiatives within the programme, ensuring scope, quality, timelines, and stakeholder alignment are maintained.
  • Establish and maintain governance, reporting, and documentation standards across projects and programme components.
  • Monitor and manage progress, dependencies, and risks; proactively identify issues, drive mitigation actions and support corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, dashboards, and updates for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Contribute to defining and embedding PMO processes, templates, and performance metrics within the programme.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration between Product, Engineering, and Delivery to maintain alignment and transparency.
  • Champion continuous improvement across programme operations, delivery cadence, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide analytical and operational support to enable informed decision-making and value tracking.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in project coordination, PMO, or junior project/programme management roles.
  • Experience in technical or software delivery environments (Agile or hybrid).
  • Proven ability to manage small projects end-to-end, including planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Exposure to programme or portfolio management frameworks (MSP, P3O, or equivalent).
  • Experience preparing structured reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.

Nice to have:

  • Prince2 Practitioner or Foundation certification (or equivalent) desirable.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Power BI (DAX desirable), and MS Excel.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical curiosity and the ability to engage effectively with engineering and product teams.
