What are we looking for?
We are looking for a skilled and strategic PR Manager to oversee our public relations efforts and build a positive brand image. The PR Manager will develop, implement, and manage communication strategies to enhance the company’s reputation, promote brand messaging, and manage media relationships. The ideal candidate has in-house experience in PR, excellent communication skills, strong media connections, and a proven track record in executing successful PR campaigns.
What will you do?
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies to increase brand visibility and enhance corporate reputation.
- Manage PR agency relationships.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and key industry stakeholders.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other public-facing communication materials.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and manage crisis communications when necessary.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, content, product) to ensure PR efforts align with overall business goals and brand messaging.
- Organize and manage press events, media interviews, and promotional activities.
- Monitor media coverage, track PR performance metrics, and report on results to key stakeholders.
- Identify and seize opportunities for earned media and proactive storytelling.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging PR strategies to continually innovate and improve PR efforts.

- You will NOT worry about funding. We have startup DNA, but we're fully backed and funded by our parent company, Teladoc Health.

Can I work remotely?
Yes. We operate in Pacific Time and candidates in any time zone are welcome to apply. We also ask our employees to travel to our Mountain View, CA office up to three times per year and to one company offsite to collaborate in person in order to build better working relationships and experience our in-office culture. Travel expenses will be covered and reasonable accommodations will be made for those under unique circumstances who cannot travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in PR, communications, or media relations, with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns. In-house experience for at least 2 of those years.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain media relationships.
- Experience in managing media crises and handling sensitive information.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using PR software and media monitoring tools.
- Ability to think strategically and communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.
Bonus (Great to have, but not required)

The base salary range for this position is $150,000-$175,000. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and the extensive benefits listed here (subject to eligibility requirements): Teladoc Health Benefits 2024. Total compensation is based on several factors – including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable to all full-time positions.
