What are we looking for?
BetterHelp is looking for a Sales Manager with experience and passion for prospecting new clients and closing deals. This individual will take ownership of the full sales cycle with potential new business clients (B2B). It is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to execute fast and see quick results while making a real difference in the world.
The ideal candidate has direct-to-employer (D2E) sales experience and is an expert at building deep relationships with various channel partners (e.g. Brokers/Consultants, Health Plan Clinical and Wellness Leadership, digital health channel resellers, etc.). The Sales Manager will report directly to our GM, BetterHelp Business.
What will you do?
- Field inbound leads from businesses and organizations that are looking to access BetterHelp’s services for their employees, students or members
- Partner with a variety of clients such as employers, non-profits, universities, government agencies, and both local and multinational organizations
- Lead sales initiatives by reaching out to prospective clients using a variety of outbound communication modalities
- Manage and maintain your sales funnel from start to finish, by utilizing the industry’s top sales enablement and CRM systems
- Gain deep and meaningful insight into client’s needs, and work cross-functionally with internal team members to provide the right solution for the client.
- Own your KPI’s, and periodically present your Sales Funnel and KPI’s internally and to senior leadership
- Have complete ownership of your accounts, provide great customer support, and display genuine care, compassion, and empathy for your clients and their needs

- You will NOT worry about "runway", "cash left", or "how much time we have until the next round". We have the startup DNA but we're fully backed and funded, all the way to success.
- You will NOT be confined to your "job". You will get involved in product, marketing, business strategy, and almost everything we do.
- You will NOT be bogged down by office politics, ego, or bad attitude. Only positive, pleasure-to-work-with people are allowed here!
- You will NOT get yourself burned out. We work hard but we believe in maintaining a sustainable work/life balance. Really.
Can I work remotely?
Yes. We operate on PST and candidates in any time zone are welcome to apply. We ask employees to travel to our Mountain View, CA office up to three times per year plus one company-wide offsite to collaborate in person and strengthen working relationships. Travel expenses are covered and reasonable accommodations are made for those under unique circumstances who cannot travel.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in complex channel partnerships and/or B2B D2E and HR/Benefits market
- Preferred: Established Consultant and/or D2E relationships
- Preferred: Previous experience negotiating contracts
- Strong project management & organization skills: from your email inbox habits to your time management, to keeping your CRM up-to-date.
- Entrepreneurial with an ability to create and follow plans yet flexible enough to respond to change while balancing multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong and efficient communicator (both written and verbal)
- Desire to learn, grow and develop as a first-class startup executive, and mentor to future team members
- Passionate about the intersection of technology and healthcare

The base salary for this position is $150,000. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for commisision and the extensive benefits listed here (subject to eligibility requirements): Teladoc Health Benefits 2024. Total compensation is based on several factors – including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable to all full-time positions.
