What are we looking for?
BetterHelp is seeking a contract Language & Localization Specialist with native-level (C1 or C2) fluency in French, German, and Dutch to support our Advertising & Promotions Legal team. Our marketing organization is one of the largest and fastest-growing at BetterHelp, with global campaigns and content running across a wide range of platforms and languages. We need someone detail-oriented and proactive, who can review multilingual content, enforce compliance standards, and help build scalable operational processes across legal and marketing teams.
This role is critical in helping us maintain regulatory alignment in key European markets, with a strong focus on contract review, content audit, marketing compliance, and process support.
What will you do?
- Provide guidance to internal teams and external partners on regulatory compliance, especially in French, German, and Dutch-speaking markets
- Review marketing and online content in French, German, and Dutch to ensure adherence to applicable advertising and data privacy laws (e.g., FTC, ASA, GDPR)
- Streamline and enhance legal workflows within the Salesforce ecosystem for internal teams
- Support escalation handling by coordinating with stakeholders and recommending appropriate action
- Work with marketing teams and process owners to develop effective processes, policies, controls, and metrics that ensure ongoing compliance
- Assist with ad-hoc legal and compliance projects focused on EU market expansion
- Audit marketing channels (including influencer, podcast, affiliate, and paid media) for compliance risks
- Review contracts for the Partnerships and Podcast teams and escalate to the Legal team when needed

Can I work remotely?
BetterHelp is based in California but we're a fully remote team. For those in the EU, you'll work your local hours but ask that a portion of your working hours overlap with our US team to ensure effective collaboration. Employees may also be asked to visit our San Jose, CA office (up to three times per year) to build strong team connections and experience our culture. Travel expenses will be covered, and reasonable accommodations will be made for those with unique travel challenges.
Requirements
- Native fluency in French, German, and Dutch (written and spoken)
- Must be available to work remotely during Pacific Time (PST) hours
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across internal and partner-facing teams
- Basic understanding of digital marketing disciplines, including Affiliate Marketing, SEO, Social Media, and Email Marketing
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong project and time management skills
- Comfortable identifying compliance issues and providing objective, solution-oriented recommendations
- Prior experience with contract review or advertising review is a plus

The annual salary range for this position is: $65,000-$95,000.
