What are we looking for?

We are committed to supporting our customers on their journey to mental wellness and looking for a product leader that is passionate about the health & wellness space. You will have an opportunity to work at a company at scale while also managing & mentoring a talented team of product managers. 

The person we hire will be responsible for the client-side of our marketplace with respect to International, i.e., launching net-new markets, funnel optimization of our platform in localized markets, and determining the right product per localized market. It is critical that you have D2C experience, member journey optimization, and demonstrable experience scaling a consumer offering. We combine data, AI, and behavioral science in an effort to deliver the right product for our customers and to date have helped over 5M people. We’ve built a solid foundation and are ready to scale the business to the next big milestone.This role reports to the CPO. 

What will you do?

  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for your area of responsibility working closely with your cross-functional stakeholders that aligns with the CPOs strategic roadmap. 
  • Analytical thinker that leverages data to support your growth initiatives but also an out of box thinker as we’re innovators. 
  • Manage a team of talented product managers and lead the recruiting efforts to add more top talent to your team. 
  • Although continued optimization is important, we’re looking to find those step changes in our business that will accelerate growth. 
  • In this role, you will work at the intersection of Product, Design, Legal/Compliance, Engineering, and Data Science.  
  • We leverage AI/machine learning & experimentation methodologies, and value data-driven decision-making where appropriate. 
  • You are passionate about user-centric approaches that drive value for our customers. 
  • We leverage a number of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies including A/B testing so understanding of the various methods is critical 
  • Define and track key success metrics to optimize product performance to meet business goals & objectives
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, and excited about emerging technologies that can support our growth 
  • Comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment, and aligning diverse, opinionated stakeholders around a shared vision.
  • Drive product governance and evangelize best practices related to our SDLC to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery that helps create efficiencies and good velocity

What will you NOT do?

  • You will NOT worry about "runway", "cash left", or "how much time we have until the next round". We have the startup DNA but we're fully backed and funded, all the way to success.
  • You will NOT be confined to your "job". You will get involved in product, marketing, business strategy, and almost everything we do.
  • You will NOT be bogged down by office politics, ego, or bad attitude. Only positive, pleasure-to-work-with people are allowed here!

Can I work remotely?

Yes. We operate on PST and candidates in any time zone are welcome to apply. We ask employees to travel to our San Jose, CA office up to three times per year plus one company-wide offsite to collaborate in person and strengthen working relationships. Travel expenses are covered and reasonable accommodations are made for those under unique circumstances who cannot travel.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product management, 4+ years in leadership, and D2C experience with a level of complexity often found in multi-sided marketplaces 
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (CS, Eng, or Business) and nice to have a Master’s in a related field
  • Ability to lead/hire as needed and develop talent
  • Strong portfolio of successfully launched products with demonstrable business impact
  • Expert knowledge of SDLC best practices and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product development tools
  • Excellence in quantitative analysis and making data driven decisions when appropriate
  • Ability to break down complex, ambiguous problem spaces into clear, actionable strategies and execute
  • Experience with user research/customer insights and able to guide the execution of as needs arise in different markets (user testing, surveys, interviews, and/or agency)
  • Think globally - ability to create a vision and strategy for the product, i.e., understanding market dynamics and competitive landscape in country and pursue opportunities that you can leverage globally that help differentiate our brand and opportunity
  • Estimating potential financial impact to the business and collaborating with cross functional stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Collaborate with leaders in Product team for shared learnings and ensure feasibility of divergent tactics (business rules, etc) to keep the team aligned
  • Deep understanding of experimentation methodologies (A/B testing, multivariate testing) and able to translate data-driven insights in actionable plans to improve product performance
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority; excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership
  • Operational affluence in annual, quarterly, and monthly planning
  • Proven ability to deliver value for the business and customers alike 
  • Ability to coach and mentor more junior members of the team
  • Proven experience in product-led growth and prior people management experience
  • Comfortable navigating fast-paced environments, and aligning diverse, opinionated stakeholders around a shared vision
  • Enjoys staying on top of the trends in tech and keeps a close pulse on our customers. 
  • Wants to be part of an excellent product organization and loves emerging technologies
  • A bias for action, high EQ, and interested in helping shape our team culture
  • Ability to work in the US, to travel to our Mountain View, California offices up to three times per year and to an additional company offsite.
  • Open to Director level or Sr Director of Product Management

Bonus (Great to have, but not required)

  • Advanced degree in science related field or MBA
  • Experience working on products at scale
  • International product experience
  • Experience with change management or business transformation
  • Experience with product-led growth strategies or Marketplace dynamics

The base salary range for this position is $225,000 - $250,000. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and the extensive benefits listed here (subject to eligibility requirements): Teladoc Health Benefits 2025. Total compensation is based on several factors – including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable to all full-time positions.
