Who are we and why should you join us?
BetterHelp is on a mission to remove the traditional barriers to therapy and make mental health care more accessible to everyone. Founded in 2013, we are now the world’s largest online therapy service, providing affordable and convenient therapy across the globe. Our network of over 30,000 licensed therapists has helped millions of people take ownership of their mental health and change their lives forever. And we’re not stopping there – as the unmet need for mental health services continues to grow, BetterHelp is committed to being part of the solution.
As an Associate Partnerships Marketing Manager, you’ll help accelerate one of BetterHelp’s fastest-growing marketing channels by strengthening relationships with a diverse range of affiliate and strategic partners. In this role, you will manage a book of existing partners, optimize campaign performance, and surface new opportunities to drive meaningful user acquisition. You’ll work closely with external partners and internal teams to improve key KPIs, implement marketing optimizations, and ensure our partnership ecosystem continues to scale efficiently and sustainably.
What are we looking for?
We’re seeking someone who is analytical, relationship-driven, and excited to work at the intersection of marketing and data. The ideal candidate has experience in partnership or affiliate marketing and is energized by developing strong external relationships, creating new business opportunities, and shaping campaigns that resonate. You should be confident in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, collaborating cross-functionally across Marketing, Creative, Product, Data, and Legal, and building high-trust external relationships. If you're passionate about mental health and energized by using data to drive results, we’d love to meet you.
What will you do?
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing partners, identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and maximize revenue potential.
- Track partner performance across key KPIs and collaborate on marketing optimizations to foster mutual success.
- Support the setup and ongoing management of BetterHelp’s partnership account on Impact.com, including helping migrate existing partners, ensuring accurate tracking, and supporting a smooth transition.
- Conduct full-funnel analysis of partner campaigns, including acquisition costs, ROAS, and overall performance insights.
- Prepare and deliver regular performance reports and recommendations to internal teams and external partners.
- Negotiate affiliate CPAs, budgets, and campaign terms to ensure efficient spend and high ROI.
- Maintain strong, proactive communication with partners through ongoing check-ins, strategy alignment, and issue resolution.
- Actively support the development and ongoing refresh of affiliate creative assets to drive partner performance and alignment with brand guidelines.
- Support the development of new partnership opportunities with creative ideas, test strategies, and cross-channel initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Data, Product, and Legal/Compliance to launch campaigns and ensure seamless execution.
What will you NOT do?
- You will NOT worry about "runway", "cash left", or "how much time we have until the next round". We have the startup DNA but we're fully backed and funded, all the way to success.
- You will NOT be confined to your "job". You will get involved in product, marketing, business strategy, and almost everything we do.
- You will NOT be bogged down by office politics, ego, or bad attitude. Only positive, pleasure-to-work-with people are allowed here!
- You will NOT get yourself burned out. We work hard but we believe in maintaining a sustainable work/life balance. Really.
Can I work remotely?

We ask employees to travel to our San Jose, CA office up to three times per year plus one company-wide offsite to collaborate in person and strengthen working relationships.
