What We Need from You:
- Conduct weekly inspections of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Identify and repair damage or wear on trucks and shop equipment.
- Perform routine shop and facility maintenance including plumbing, painting, and equipment cleaning.
- Handle tire replacements, spare tire rotations, and light mechanical repairs.
- Pull, organize, and stage parts accurately for field technicians and installations.
- Support inventory control by tracking incoming and outgoing materials.
- Load and unload trailers for scheduled installs.
- Deliver materials to field technicians and assist with light field support as needed.
- Maintain forklifts and ensure safe operation of all shop equipment.
- Follow OSHA and company safety procedures while maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
- Basic understanding of vehicle systems including tires, brakes, and electrical components.
- Experience in maintenance, trades, warehouse, or shop environments preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
- Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented mindset.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials and equipment.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in a shop, warehouse, and outdoor environment.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, lifts, and shop machinery.
- Manual dexterity for handling tools, parts, and mechanical equipment.
BERCO determines compensation based on the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $18-20 hourly. Pay is based on several factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
