The Role
The Legal Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Legal Department with litigation intake and management, drafting legal documents, investigations support, records maintenance and organization, e-filing, docketing, carefully tracking deadlines, and general administrative support for a small legal team. The role is primarily a litigation assistance role supporting in-house counsel.
The Legal Administrative Assistant will report directly to the Deputy General Counsel.
Responsibilities
- Draft and revise legal forms, correspondence, pleadings, and discovery under the supervision of counsel.
- Open, organize and maintain litigation files. Develop a working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations related to the consumer finance industry.
- Coordinate all e-filing and a robust docket of litigation matters ensuring no deadlines are missed.
- General office support.
Requirements
- Minimum 7-10 years’ of litigation paralegal or legal assistant experience.
- Proficiency in G-suite.
- Proficiency in Logikcull.
- Advanced proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Financial services experience a plus.
- Ablity to think critically, solve problems, multi-task, and prioritize.
