Job Title: Data Scientist

Location: 222 N La Salle St, Suite 1600, Chicago, IL 60601

Job Description: The Data Scientist will conduct complex analysis focused on optimizing and understanding marketing performance, client retention, and lifetime customer value. The role will partner with marketing, operations, product, and sales teams to shape strategy using rigorous scientific solutions. Create models that forecast performance of key metrics and models that optimize business decisions, including customer retention and settlement timing. Utilize data skills including Python, R, SQL, Excel, and dataset manipulation. Build AI/ML models including but not limited to decision trees, regressions, and clustering. Complete complex analytical projects end-to-end, from the formulation of project requirements, through data gathering and manipulation, and eventual analysis and storytelling. Partner with marketing, product, and operations teams to define future tests and experimental designs. Drive improved collection and curation of new data, and the refinement of existing data sources. Automate reporting processes to create advanced Looker dashboards using PDTs and dynamic Excel workbooks using VBA. Work is performed in company’s office in Chicago with some remote work permitted per company policy.

Education Requirement: Master’s degree in data science, business analytics, or related.

Experience Requirement: 1 year of experience in data scientist, data analyst, or related.

Special Skills: Must have work experience with each of the following: 1) Creating and deploying forecasting models for customer retention and settlement timing in the debt settlement industry; (2) Automating monthly, weekly, and daily reporting processes to create advanced Looker dashboards using PDTs and dynamic Excel workbooks using VBA; and (3) Using Python and SQL including CTEs and Window Functions to process unstructured and imperfect data using interpolation, synthetic data generation, and outlier detection. Work is performed in company’s office in Chicago with some remote work permitted per company policy.

Salary range: $94,000-$114,000.00
