Senior/Principal Product Manager, Endpoint Security

The Opportunity 

At Beyond Identity, product management is a strategic function whose mandate is to understand our prospects and customers so we can, as the Voice of the Customer, best meet their needs, and expectations for the product and features we deliver. As a Product Manager, you are tasked with owning and evangelizing the vision and strategy for your product line. 

You will start with “why” and “who” to create a common understanding of the personas we serve and the value we create in addressing their use cases. You will leverage your understanding of the competitive landscape and knowledge of the underlying technologies to augment and strengthen these inputs. You will build upon all of these to define the “what” in the product roadmap and lead the organization to achieve it. Ultimate success will be measured by high-levels of customer satisfaction and retention, growth of recurring revenue, and expansion of customer lifetime value. You will bring empathy, humility, and a continuous learning mindset every day. You are motivated to innovate and create, to always do the right thing, and to build a sustaining product and company.

Ideally, candidates will be located in the NYC, Dallas or Seattle areas to facilitate in-person collaboration with our teams.

What You Can Expect to Do:

  • Own the 3-5 year product strategy and vision for your product line
  • Align company and team goals across Sales, Marketing, Support and Engineering to ensure organizational readiness for releases that ensures successful engagements across the product and customer life cycles.
  • Organize and drive research efforts to build a clear understanding of the current and future market direction, needs, and product goals that informs a successful product strategy and roadmap
  • Engage with security, identity and IT leaders of our prospects and customers to understand market trends, detailed requirements, architectural capabilities and constraints, and use cases
  • Define, build alignment with, and lead the execution of the strategy and roadmap for cloud, mobile and desktop product capabilities with a razor focus on the experience and functionality afforded both administrators and end users
  • Write, prioritize and accept user stories and epics that address Beyond Identity personas, building a reinforcing narrative of the 'why' of our product
  • Use insights gained from product metrics, data analysis and user feedback to make informed decisions that ultimately result in delivery of a product that exceeds goals  and expectations.
  • Partner with the Design Team to iterate and deliver holistic requirements to Engineering

What we Hope You’ll Bring:

  • 8+ years of industry experience with some of that time in cybersecurity, endpoint management, secure access and/or identity management
  • 5+ years of B2B software product management experience
  • 3+ years of experience implementing, administering and/or supporting Windows, and macOS desktops in enterprises -OR- being a product manager for endpoint software products
  • Ability to synthesize different perspectives and make recommendations and decisions with incomplete information and ambiguity
  • Experience at and thrive in a startup or early-stage environment
  • Think strategically and act tactically; proven ability to define and translate a vision into detailed and actionable plans
  • Understand how to leverage experience and intuition while adapting to new situations
  • Team player & strong collaborator who proactively engages stakeholders for input, validation and building consensus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting to executive, sales and technical audiences
  • Innate curiosity about customer needs, new technologies, and process improvements
