Business Intelligence Data Engineer
Position Overview
We’re seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Data Engineer to join our growing data team and play a key role in designing and implementing scalable data infrastructure to power analytics and reporting across the organization. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and analysts to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and actionable — enabling smarter, data-driven decisions.
The position is remote in Pakistan and with working hours 4:00am ET to 1:00pm ET or similar schedule.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2) to support BI reporting and analytics.
- Develop and optimize medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) for both structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performance data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across multiple sources and systems.
- Leverage SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python) to transform, clean, and prepare data for dashboards and reports.
- Support the implementation and integration of BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Monitor performance and proactively troubleshoot issues across data pipelines and reporting environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5+ years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or analytics infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Fabric ecosystem (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2) and SQL.
- Experience working with medallion architectures, data modeling, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Familiarity with BI visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and data governance best practices.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Salary Range: PKR 5,000,000 - 7,400,000
