Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager, Commercial Strategy & Innovation will serve as a strategic and operational partner to the Chief of Commercial Strategy & Innovation. This role will bring structure, organization, and proactive follow-through to cross-BGBx growth efforts across Consulting, Communications, Medical Communications, Payer, Data, AI, and Technology. This role will coordinate the people, materials, decisions, and follow-through required to move integrated client solutions and cross-planning forward. This is a hands-on senior project manager and strategic operations role that combines account planning, meeting and calendar management, pipeline coordination, leadership preparation, and cross-functional execution.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-BGBx account planning for priority pharmaceutical clients, including top-to-top meetings, QBRs, client touchpoints, follow-ups, and cross-planning.
  • Manage the head of Commercial Strategy & Innovation’s calendar and the logistics for key leadership and client activities, using business context to prioritize time, ensure the right participants are included, prepare, agendas and materials, and meetings drive to clear decisions and next steps.
  • Maintain a forward-looking view of account priorities, client milestones, proposal deadlines, leadership meetings, and cross-solving activity.
  • Track the enterprise pipeline, account plans, opportunity stages, owners, next actions, follow-ups, and available revenue attribution across priority accounts; maintain visibility and accountability without owning revenue decisions
  • Proactively identify gaps, conflicts, stalled opportunities, missing owners, and decisions that require escalation.
  • Build a working understanding of BGBx’s capabilities and know which relationship executives, capability experts, solution leads, and delivery teams to pull in, and when, based on client needs and opportunity requirements. Support IxI and Commercial Strategy revenue BLT reporting by coordinating inputs from cross-functional teams, tracking opportunities, owners, next steps, and available revenue attribution, and helping maintain visibility and accountability without owning revenue targets, revenue decisions, or attribution.
  • Prepare internal stakeholders for strategic meetings by developing agendas, briefing materials, late-breaking account updates, presentations, and support stakeholders with recommended next steps and follow-through.
  • Support the execution and coordination of repeatable account-planning tools, proposal processes, handoff workflows, governance models, and performance-tracking systems.
  • Coordinate follow-through after meetings and governance forums, ensuring that commitments are documented, owners are clear, and actions progress to completion.

What makes the role distinctive

  • This role sits at the intersection of strategic project management and execution. The successful candidate will help BGBx leaders make better use of their time, stay aligned across divisions, and turn cross-BGBx conversations into  organized, accountable action
  • The role is well suited to a highly organized, proactive, and strategic project manager who is comfortable managing details while understanding the broader business objective. This person should be able to move between calendar coordination, pipeline tracking, senior leadership preparation, executive content development,  and cross-functional problem-solving.

Ideal candidate profile

  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ready to dive in, roll-up-sleeves, diligent, real-time senior meeting mapping, scheduling and actions post client meetings
  • Proactive working style, with the judgment to anticipate needs, surface issues, and move work forward without constant direction.
  • Strategic thinker who can connect individual meetings and opportunities to broader account and enterprise-growth objectives.
  • Comfortable working across senior leaders, client teams, and multiple BGBx practice areas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to draft, synthesize, and refine executive-ready presentations, briefing materials, account updates and other content
  • 5 years of experience in Project management, strategic operations, account management, or a related field with demonstrated independence in complex, senior stakeholder environments
  • An MBA or equivalent business experience is preferred.
