This position will be managing and leading transmission projects throughout the entire project life cycle, including scope and/or proposal development, project team development and assignment, project execution, project closeout, quality control, schedule, and budget management. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple electric transmission and linear infrastructure projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Provide technical leadership for transmission line siting, routing studies, and permitting, coordinating with engineering and environmental teams.
  • Manage environmental studies, permitting, and regulatory compliance in accordance with NEPA and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Serve as primary point of contact with clients, regulatory agencies, landowners, and stakeholders, including public involvement efforts.
  • Supervise and mentor multi-disciplinary teams, including scientists, planners, engineers, and technical staff.
  • Develop and review environmental reports, permit applications, and technical documentation.
  • Partner with senior leadership to support client relationships and business development.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, chemistry, ecology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with electric transmission siting, routing, and regulatory compliance.
  • 3+ years of project and/or people management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of NEPA and environmental permitting for linear infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with routing studies, public involvement, and agency coordination.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
