Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company

The Finance Systems team is seeking an experienced Finance Systems Architect with a focus on ERP systems and associated Finance Business Systems.  In this crucial role, you will document and maintain current state Finance System and data architecture as well as intersections with business processes. You will also be responsible for evaluating, scoping, and designing the architecture of our ERP system and associated Finance Business Systems along with other purpose built solutions. You will also lead the effort to map out our current ERP footprint, create a comprehensive data dictionary, and advocate for the best ERP solutions based on the company’s evolving business needs. You will partner closely with our Finance Business Partners, Product, Engineering, and fellow Business Technology teams to drive impactful architectural solutions to our Finance Tech Stack, integrations and underlying data. Your expertise in Record-to-Report, Order-to Cash, and Procture-to-Pay finance value streams will be crucial, along with your proven leadership and project management skills to drive initiatives to successful completion. Additionally, you will join our expanding Finance Systems team as a dynamic thought leader and champion of best practices. Reporting directly to Sr Manager of Finance Systems, you will collaborate closely with Finance leadership, Business Technology, and engineering teams to raise the bar on our current Finance System landscape!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the evaluation and scoping of ERP system(s), with a focus on NetSuite, Coupa, Salesforce, and other relevant Finance Business Systems.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on the best ERP solution(s), associated Finance Business Systems, and purpose built solutions for the current and future footprint based on business needs, scalability, and integration potential.
  • Create and maintain a data dictionary for all financial systems, mapping data flows, entities, and relationships across platforms and upstream Data Sources.
  • Design and document the architecture for financial systems, ensuring seamless integration between NetSuite, Coupa, Salesforce, and other business-critical applications.
  • Develop and enforce architecture standards and best practices to ensure security, consistency, reliability, and performance within the FInance System EcoSystem.
  • Lead transformational projects, including migrations, upgrades, and ERP system Implementations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Engineering, Product, IT, and Operations, to align the Finance Systems Architecture and associated systems with strategic business goals.
  • Develop project roadmaps, manage implementation timelines, and ensure adherence to budget and project goals.
  • Establish and maintain data governance processes to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance across all financial systems in accordance with regulatory and internal control requirements

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Finance System Architecture at a publicly traded company, with 4+ years specifically with Netsuite
  • Strong understanding of Finance technology stacks, including NetSuite, Coupa, SalesForce, and related business applications
  • Understanding of Record-to-Report, Order-to Cash, and Procture-to-Pay value streams and intersections with ERP systems. 
  • Deep knowledge of APIs, microservices architecture, and new technologies 
  • Solid Understanding in all aspects of technical architecture (operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization)
  • Proficiency in creating data dictionaries, Functional and technical design documentation, process maps, architectural documentation, and solution proposals.
  • Experience building strong ITGC and SOX controls
  • Shown ability to analyze business direction and problems, understand long term vision and risk in developing strategic technical solutions. 
  • Experience in Project Management using Agile framework and change management

 

The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

Draper UT pay range

$134,600 - $161,500 USD
