Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company
As a key member of the GL accounting team, this role is crucial in overseeing general accounting operations. This highly collaborative position requires working closely with various teams to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting operations, a proven ability to design and implement efficient processes, and general understanding of technical accounting. Additionally, they will excel in leading and developing a high-performing team. This role reports directly to the Director of Accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide, mentor and manage a team
- Ensure compliance with GAAP requirements and SOX controls
- Drive continuous scalability, automation and efficiency through collaboration with our finance systems and accounting transformation teams
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships across Technical accounting and reporting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax teams, Product and engineering
- Review balance sheet account reconciliations and approve journal entries
- Ensure the integrity of key processes by understanding systems, flow of transactions, internal controls, and recommending efficiency improvements
- Liaison with external and internal auditors with supporting documentation for the quarterly reviews and year-end audits
We’d love to chat if you have:
- 7+ years of experience in auditing at public accounting firms and/or accounting in public companies (Tech industry preferred)
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively across functions
- Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fact paced and dynamic environment with the desire for continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA is preferred
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred
- Experience with Coupa and Blackline is a plus
The estimated salary range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
San Jose pay range
$150,800 - $188,200 USD
