Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on, and visionary Manager of Developer and Infrastructure Platform to lead our internal developer platform team. This role is crucial in defining and enhancing the end-to-end developer experience, from the inception of service development to production deployment. The ideal candidate will oversee both the developer platform and application infrastructure, ensuring they are designed for reliability, scalability, and high performance. This position demands close collaboration with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives, leveraging technical expertise and strong leadership skills to cultivate a supportive and high-performing team culture.
In this role you will
- Lead a team of 6-8 software engineers to achieve a 20% reduction in system downtime and a 15% increase in code quality metrics
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the developer experience by streamlining workflows, automating tasks, and integrating advanced tools
- Ensure the delivery and support of end-to-end platform services, focusing on increasing feature deployment frequency. Guide the team in rapid experimentation to foster innovation and agility
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and engineering managers to improve customer satisfaction scores. Develop processes to boost team productivity and efficiency
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to hire engineers and contractors, meeting staffing needs on time. Uphold high standards for operational excellence and engineering rigor, continuously improving system reliability, scalability, and performance
- These strategic initiatives will drive significant improvements in developer experience, productivity, code quality, and customer satisfaction
We’d love to chat if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 10+ years of experience in software development or infrastructure management, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or managerial role
- Proven experience in software development and infrastructure management, with a focus on developer tools and platforms
- Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms, especially AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.)
- Experience managing and growing engineering teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Proactive in developing strategies for business growth and technology innovation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Experience with developer productivity tools, developer experience design, or internal platform development
- Track record of delivering projects/deliverables in a timely fashion in a fast-paced, lean and collaborative environment

Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. San Jose pay range
$204,000 - $255,000 USD
The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
Draper UT pay range
$173,400 - $216,800 USD
Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed below. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
