We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Sr. Content Strategist - Digital Events to join our Growth Marketing team. This role is pivotal in shaping the content strategy and execution for our digital events. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building event agendas, programming content, and crafting engaging session material that resonates with our target audiences. You will also source and coordinate guest speakers, ensuring that each event delivers exceptional value to attendees.

In addition to event planning and content creation, you will play a key role in developing strategies for post-event promotion and engagement, with the goal of driving registrations and attendance, increasing audience engagement, and contributing to the revenue pipeline with high-quality leads. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including demand generation, brand, design, customer community, corporate communications, and accounting channel partners, to ensure a cohesive and impactful event experience.

List of Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Event content strategy & programming:
    • Develop and execute the content strategy for digital events based on target audience and event goals.
    • Build and manage event agendas, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and audience interests
    • Create compelling session content that drives engagement and delivers value to attendees
    • Source and collaborate with guest speakers, ensuring diverse and high-quality contributions to each event
    • Drive event attendance by strategically planning event topics that resonate with target audiences and align with industry trends
  • Post-event strategy & engagement:
    • Design and implement strategies for post-event content promotion and attendee engagement
    • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure post-event content is leveraged effectively to generate leads and drive revenue
    • Analyze event performance data to refine and improve future event strategies
  • Cross-functional collaboration:
    • Partner with demand generation, brand, design, and accounting channel partners to ensure seamless execution of event content and promotion
    • Work closely with the Director of Content Marketing to align event content with broader marketing initiatives and business goals
  • Design effective and innovative digital content strategies while setting and tracking short-term goals and KPIs
  • Build an understanding of BILL’s SMB audience personas, segments, and verticals, and the prospects who will engage with our content
  • Execute on robust content and event calendars and production schedules

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • 6-8 years of experience in content strategy, event programming, or a related field, with a focus on digital events
  • Proven track record of creating and executing successful content strategies for digital events
  • Experience in sourcing and managing guest speakers for webinars or similar events
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform content decisions and strategies
  • A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, Goldcast) is a plus
  • Understanding of B2B marketing process and content benefits
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field

The estimated salary  range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role.  Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

San Jose pay range

$118,600 - $148,200 USD

The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

Draper UT pay range

$100,800 - $126,000 USD

Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed below. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits. The estimated salary  ranges noted below roles in the specific  geographic zones

Zone 1- San Francisco Bay Area CA (includes HQ), New York City, Seattle

$118,600 - $148,200 USD

Zone 2- CA (Non San Francisco Bay Area), Austin TX, Massachusetts

$106,700 - $133,400 USD

Zone 3 -Utah (includes Utah office), Houston TX (office), Florida, North Carolina

$100,800 - $126,000 USD
