The embedded platform team is building the next generation of embeddable elements for Bill and our partners that can embed these elements into their applications to serve their customers. This team plays a crucial role in improving Bill pay experiences by developing powerful, scalable, and user-friendly widgets that integrate seamlessly into diverse web applications. Our mission is to empower developers and our partners with fast, flexible, and highly customizable widgets that enhance user engagement and functionality. We’d love to chat if you have:

  • 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular 18, or similar front-end frameworks.
  • Proven experience in widget development for web and mobile applications.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and backend integration.
  • Familiarity with mobile-first and responsive design principles.
  • Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and debugging.
  • Experience with performance optimization techniques.
  • Ability to work in an agile development environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Understanding accessibility and usability standards is nice to have.
  • Have understanding of Version control systems, relational databases, entity relationships, Splunk, Cypress, Jest, playwright.
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities and energy to be on call for support
  • Experience working on large scale, complex applications 
  • Ability to gain alignment across cross-functional boundaries
  • Product through all stages of development from concept to launch at scale
  • Familiarity and expertise in writing unit and component tests
  • Experience in the payments industry or building payment applications is nice to have.
  • Experience designing and building scalable cloud-native applications that are deployed in one or more public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience in complex problem-solving in large-scale systems, performance optimization, and high-availability systems.
