We are looking for an Associate Director of People Operations to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will support the HR function by aligning closely with our Senior Director of People Operations. Together, you will develop and execute strategies to create a competitive advantage for our employee experience, enhancing the workplace as our company scales. The ideal candidate has experience managing multiple People Ops functions as the first People Ops/HR member of the team through high growth exceeding 600 employees, while managing day-to-day operations, enhancing employee experience with impactful programs, and contributing to a thriving culture. The Associate Director of People Operations is a hybrid position (onsite 2-3 days/week) and reports to the Senior Director of People Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Senior Director of People Operations to design and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and foster employee engagement.
  • Oversee day-to-day People Operations functions including performance management, employee relations, and employee engagement.
  • Develop and implement practices to enhance organizational effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement in HR processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company-wide initiatives and promote a seamless employee experience.
  • Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, ensuring professional development and effectiveness.
  • Manage compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Measure and track key HR metrics to assess the efficacy of HR initiatives and make informed decisions.
  • Drive initiatives that create an inclusive and diverse workplace, promoting the company's values and culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in HR, with proven experience in at least one leadership role.
  • Strong passion for creating an inclusive and engaging workplace culture.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR best practices and knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change across the organization.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates exceptional ability to coach people managers, empowering them with skills and confidence to effectively support their teams.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing innovative and impactful HR strategies in a growing company.

At BillionToOne, we are proud to offer a combination of a (1) base pay range (actual amount offered is based on experience and salary/equity options split that the candidate chooses), (2) generous equity options offering, (3) corporate bonus program, on top of (4) industry leading company benefits (free healthcare options, 401k match, very generous fully paid parental leave, etc.).

For this position, we offer a total compensation package up to $324,042 per year, including a base pay range of $187,272 - $208,080 per year.
