Inventory Control Associate (Temporary)

Summary
Support daily instrument manufacturing warehouse and inventory for instrument production and sustainability. This is a temporary role. 

Essential Functions

  • Assist with incoming inspection for all instrument raw material parts:
    • Complete required incoming inspection report     
    • Review all attached vendor documentation for accuracy
    • Label and put away all incoming parts
    • Quarantine any non-compliant material and initiate non-conforming product reports (NCR)
  • Maintain shipping’s finished goods instrument Kanban:
    • Run daily Kanban inventory report
    • Assemble low inventory Kanban parts 
    • Fill daily sales orders and FSE shipping requests
  • Support instrument manufacturing production line:
    • Cleaning and inspect approved large instruments 
    • Crate all approved large instruments 
    • Package all approved small instruments
    • Breakdown Cuisinart’s for Decloaker production
    • Complete all minor instrument sub-assemblies (Decloaking Chamber baskets, IntelliPATH carboys, etc.)
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining raw material inventory:
    • Complete material transfers to internal departments
    • Complete scrap authorization forms
    • Complete Purchase Requisitions
    • Assist with quarterly count efforts
  • Assist with daily clean-up:
    • Put away all QA approved assemblies and label all WIP assemblies
    • Breakdown and throw out all cardboard boxes
    • Sweep manufacturing area floors and leave walkways clear
    • Wipe down workstations and tools as needed
    • Remove any clutter
  • Assist with the business system (GP) and barcoding daily actions: manufacturing orders, bin transfer, time tracking, lot tracking, parts planning, setting up new part #’s, etc.
  • Assist with updating red lines: Work Instructions, Bill of Materials and Assembly Forms.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Competencies

  • High School Diploma/GED required, Associate Degree or higher in technical field or trade school preferred 
  • Zero to two (0-2) years’ experience in related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressured deadline-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Can multitask and prioritize their work effectively.
  • Capable, with training, to operate warehouse material handling equipment (Posses or be willing to obtain a Forklift Operating Certificate).
  • Capable, with training, to use hand and power tools.
  • Basic understanding of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and its application to the job, FDA, and ISO Regulations.
  • Ensures that all SOP’s are followed and recommend Quality Improvement Measures.
  • Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 

Expected Hours of Work

  • 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday – Friday unless otherwise determined by departments needs that may include earlier or later starting and ending hours. This position may require extended weekday or weekend hours depending on business needs.

Salary

  • $21 - $24 hourly (depends on experience)
