
Intake Specialist (PAL)

Schedule & Location: Monday Through Friday from 8:30am Central Standard Time To 5pm Central Standard Time or 8:30 am-5 pm EST. It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work onsite in our Overland Park, KS and Garnet Valley, PA or Remote.
Job Description: The Intake Specialist is responsible for ensuring the intake/prior authorization processes and workflows are performed optimally and effectively. Work with managers to meet the needs of the department to secure contracts, authorizations and maximize reimbursement coverage. Markets Services, Quality Management, Nursing and/or Clinical Services, and/or other Pharmacy Services team members. |

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS |
Basic computer and internet skills (e.g. Microsoft Office) · Ability to obtain reimbursement and prior authorizations for patients, family members, caregivers, nurses, physicians, and health plan representatives and/or administrators. · Commitment to excellent customer service and professionalism to resolve complex payer coverage issues |

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED |

· Certified Pharmacy Technician/License preferred, but not required · 2-3 years’ experience with billing processes, prior authorizations, billing systems preferred, but not required |
