Associate, Portfolio Planning & Analysis

Working closely with the Vice President and Sr. Director, the Associate will lead portfolio level decision support within the Portfolio Planning & Analysis Department. Leveraging Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) software, the Associate will develop new tools, reports, and dashboards to support executive leadership in critical decision making. The role will require sophisticated financial acumen, including complex modeling and analysis. The Associate will lead the evaluation and potential adoption of advanced tools such as predictive BI and support the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for senior management. The role requires cross functional engagement with key stakeholders and senior leadership.  

This position offers a hybrid work model, which includes 4 days in office and 1 day remotely. Hybrid work may be modified based on the needs of the company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee recurring, departmental reporting and analysis. Provide peer level review of all department generated reporting.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicator (“KPI”) reporting. Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on review and analysis.
  • Partner with BI team to develop and maintain reporting dashboards to inform decision making across the organization.
  • Support the legal team with the monthly tracking and reporting of distressed tenants. Complete tenant rent relief and accommodation analysis as required.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process through the collection of assumptions, analysis of results, and presentation of key awareness points.
  • Power user and subject matter expert for Oracle ERP. Utilize ERP software and available tools to automate data collection process. Develop queries and templates to extract, aggregate, and synthesize data from internal data sources.
  • Provide senior leadership team with ad-hoc analyses to inform critical decision making.
  • Partner with the BI team to evaluate the viability and application of new technology such as predictive BI.

Job Specifications

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
  • 5-7 years of progressive finance positions in corporate finance, asset management, or related real estate experience.
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills with a record of accomplishment.
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills. Strong financial Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentation skillset. Experience with Argus a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise reporting software and large data sets. Oracle experience preferred.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively work with and communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated; ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple deadlines and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Ability to convey technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Prior experience with a database management and/or enterprise reporting systems (i.e. SAP BPC, Oracle Hyperion, Oracle EPM Cloud, etc.) is a plus.

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone.

Salary Range: $104,000 - $130,000 per year + bonus + long term incentive + benefits
