Your role:
- Assist with the development, amendment, and maintenance of contract templates for various common contract types (clinical trial agreements, letters of intent, confidentiality agreements, master service agreements, work orders, etc.) tailored to relevant global/local legal standards and practices.
- Provide support in contract management, drafting, negotiation, and execution, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
- Take primary responsibility for confidentiality agreement preparation, negotiation, execution, and maintenance under the guidance of the VP, Legal
- Utilize contract management system effectively, creating and implementing workflows for various contract types and generating reports to assist in contracting processes
- Research legal/regulatory issues as requested.
- Provide legal support to Biorasi’s General Counsel and other Legal branch colleagues.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) from recognized university in India for Junior Attorney. A diploma or certification in paralegal studies for Paralegals is preferred. Registration with the Bar Council of India or equivalent certification is advantageous.
- Fluent English (Oral & Written) and applicable local business language.
- 1-3 years of contract paralegal experience (level 1) or 3-5 years (level 2) within the Indian Legal System.
- Familiarity with Indian legal procedures and documentation related to clinical research organizations.
- Previous experience working within a CRO/Pharmaceutical organization with specific experience negotiating clinical trial agreements with sites preferred.
- Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong legal acumen with excellent legal research skills, particularly in Indian law.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with legal software and platforms commonly used in India.
