THE OPPORTUNITY: Video & Content Editor (part-time)

REPORTS TO: Creative Director

LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)

Headquartered in Los Angeles, CA with an office in New York, NY, Birdy Grey supports hybrid work for eligible roles. This role will work ~20 hours/week and requires working out of DTLA office 1 day a week. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. #LI-Hybrid

Birdy Grey is seeking a Video Editor with strong technical skills and a passion for visual storytelling. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment! You will be responsible for producing high-quality short-form video content for organic and paid social, with a focus on delivering high-yield results. Your work will directly contribute to driving engagement, conversions, and overall campaign success across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Meta.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Edit UGC, influencer, and professional footage into short-form ads and native content tailored for various web and social platforms.
  • Create thumb-stopping edits that feature clean transitions, quick cuts, and compelling storytelling.
  • Contribute to creating static ads to support overall marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in brand, creative, and marketing teams to brainstorm and execute engaging video campaigns and concepts.
  • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Cut, trim, and organize footage, adding music, sound effects, motion graphics, and other elements to enhance videos.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in social media and video content.
  • Organize and maintain video files, project assets, and media libraries for easy access.
  • Create high quality motion graphics and visual effects to enhance video content.
  • Attend relevant weekly, biweekly, and monthly marketing and creative meetings.
  • Ensure all content aligns with our brand voice and style across all platforms.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree Required 

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of video editing experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe design programs, such as Photoshop or Illustrator.
  • Experience working in Asana or similar project management system.
  • Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio of short-form video content, especially for ads, social media, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with additional experience in Final Cut Pro or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Meta) and their specific video requirements.
  • A creative mindset with excellent visual storytelling, composition, and pacing abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.
