THE OPPORTUNITY: Post Production Manager 

REPORTS TO: Creative Director

LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA (hybrid)

Headquartered in Los Angeles, CA with an office in New York, NY, Birdy Grey supports hybrid work for eligible roles. This role will work from our DTLA office 1-2 days a week. We ask that all employees travel to either office once a quarter. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. #LI-Hybrid

Birdy Grey is looking for a Post Production Manager to support our Creative team. You will partner with the Creative Director and Creative Producer to manage the post-production workflow, overseeing retouching tasks, maintaining consistent color standards, organizing photo assets, and ensuring smooth communication with external retouching teams. You’ll lead, optimize workflows, and manage high volumes of work under tight deadlines, ensuring that all assets meet Birdy Grey’s brand standards. This role requires an individual with expert knowledge of color and retouching, as well as strong project management skills to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive and maintain color accuracy by managing benchmarks and color correction tasks within the creative team, while collaborating with stakeholders to align on and approve benchmarks
  • Oversee the post-production process for a high volume of images each month, ensuring assets are organized, timelines are met, and deliverables meet quality and consistency standards
  • Lead the daily management of external post-production vendors, freelancers, and retouchers, ensuring clear communication of timelines, retouching objectives, color standards, and quality expectations
  • Ensure all creative deliverables are on brief, aligned with brand standards, and delivered on time
  • Collaborate with Creative Producer and merch team to schedule out asset hand off deadlines to align with product launches
  • Continuously optimize workflows to enhance both efficiency and quality within the photo production process
  • Manage photo standards for file/image quality, SEO/marketing optimization, aspect ratios, and naming conventions for all photo assets and files

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Graphic Design, Photography, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in retouching or post-production processes
  • Expert in masking, color correction, and retouching techniques
  • Proficiency in project management tools, specifically Asana, to track tasks and manage workflows
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Capture One
  • Proven leadership experience managing freelancers and external vendors in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

California Pay Range

$75,000 - $90,000 USD
