THE OPPORTUNITY: Content Manager

LOCATION: LA- Hybrid

THE OPPORTUNITY: CONTENT MANAGER
Birdy Grey is looking for a Content Manager with a strategic eye to manage and oversee all content across social media for Bird Grey, with a heavy focus on Pinterest. This role will build and support the brand’s strategy to align with the business goals and objectives, including management of the social calendar, working with UGC creators, and managing various projects with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate would have a sharp eye for content across all marketing channels and is a creative problem solver.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and grow Birdy Grey's new social media channels from the ground up, including Instagram and TikTok, and oversee the calendar of existing channels like YouTube and Facebook
- Manage, create, and test new content formats on Pinterest with a goal for channel growth
- Oversee and plan the content calendar for the above channels per the monthly strategy for approval by stakeholders
- Ensure daily content is approved for posting, assets are correctly formatted, channel-specific posting formats are designated and content is scheduled
- Collaborate with Brand, Creative, Marketing, and Merchandising on content development
- Ideate and plan creative Instagram Stories, Instagram Reels, and TikToks that share our brand narrative and get viewers to engage and buy
- Attend and film BTS content at PDP and lifestyle shoots
- Develop copy for social posts that adheres to channel-specific best practices and invites conversation
- Manage content creators to brainstorm, plan, and execute on deliverables based on the content calendar
- Manage a monthly budget of UGC creators and contractors
- Request and manage the timeline of creative social assets (Pinterest, Instagram graphics, etc.) and approve deliverables
- Distribute bi-weekly social performance and recaps and pivot strategy based on learnings
- Determine new channels for testing, map out a strategy, plan, and execute on content
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
EDUCATION: College degree required
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience managing a brand's content calendar.
- Specific experience managing Pinterest, and an avid Pinterest user.
- A passion for all things social, with a keen pulse on new trends.
- Knowledge of channel-specific features by platform.
- Ability to write copy that is both creative and engaging, per marketing channel best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong project management skills, collaborates well with cross-functional teams.
- An eye for aesthetics and branding.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data deep dives to surface actionable insights.
- Hard working and willing to roll sleeves up - no job is too big or too small.
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, fluid environment. You are comfortable with ambiguity and take initiative to lead projects.

- Start-up experience is a plus!
- Interest and knowledge in the fashion and wedding industry.
- Experience using Canva, Sprout Social, and CapCut.
