Regional Property Manager (Ohio)

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the property management, leasing, and maintenance staff
  • Set the bar for property performance and train managers to meet goals for occupancy, tenant satisfaction, retention, collections, and net operating income
  • Steward full authority for personnel decisions regarding team makeup, hiring, and performance management
  • Coach property managers to proactively identify issues and implement solutions at underperforming properties
  • Resolve escalated resident concerns
  • Provide or coordinate direct support to properties as needed
  • Create and oversee property budgets including large capital projects
  • Collaborate with Acquisitions for smooth due diligence and property onboarding
  • Collaborate with Asset Management to create operational plans and execute lender requirements
  • Identify and lead cross-functional projects to improve systems and processes, including technology and outsourcing solutions
  • Other duties as identifies to help Birgo improve lives through real estate

Successful Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of property management concepts and budgeting processes
  • 10+ years of experience in multi-family property management and leasing
  • 3+ years of experience in achieving outcomes through directing the work of others
  • Majority of experience in multi-site, workforce housing (Class B/C)
  • Experience with AppFolio or other PMS

Other Requirements

  • Able to travel frequently (approx. 50%) within Ohio, Pittsburgh, and surrounding areas
  • Reliable personal transportation and valid driver's license
  • Able to ascend/descend stairs and traverse uneven terrain to access all areas of the properties
  • Able to use a computer for a full workday
