Job Summary

We're looking for a special Property Manager to spearhead our growth as the first PM in Cleveland. Birgo is a mission-driven company based in Pittsburgh with multifamily properties across four states. We recently acquired Shaker Moreland Apartments and North Moreland Courts in Shaker Heights (143 units) and Clifton Lakes Apartments (52 units) in Edgewater. Core Responsibilities

  • Maximize the performance of properties (increase occupancy, decrease delinquency)
  • Provide excellent customer service through prompt and authentic responses
  • Lead the leasing process
  • Direct financial reporting and approvals
  • Manage collections and evictions
  • Oversee maintenance and enhance curb appeal
  • Lead, manage, and train the team to accomplish team goals
  • Maintain clean and safe properties by resolving tenant complaints, conducting inspections, and enforcing rental agreements
  • Select and coordinate vendors
  • Set the scope of turnovers and capital projects and manage projects
  • Lead the onboarding of new properties to the property group if needed
  • Other duties as assigned to help Birgo improve lives through real estate

Successful Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 5+ years of demonstrated success as a property manager
  • In-depth understanding of Cleveland's market-rate multifamily industry
  • Experience with AppFolio or other property management software
  • Outstanding relationship with local government and inspection agencies

Skills

  • Technology savvy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong skills in written, verbal, and persuasive communication
  • Organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail

Other Requirements

  • Reliable personal transportation and valid driver’s license for property visits during business hours and as needed after-hours
  • Available for after-hours leasing and on-call
  • Able to ascend/descend stairs and traverse uneven terrain
  • Able to transport up to 25 lbs
  • Able to use a computer for a full workday
