Responsibilities

  • Manage turnovers, work orders, renovations, inventory, groundskeeping, and preventative maintenance
  • Complete high-skill maintenance work (plumbing, electrical, drywall, HVAC)
  • Hire, supervise, and develop maintenance team members to turn around distressed properties
  • Plan, execute, and report on capital projects
  • Set safety expectations for the team and adhere to company safety standards
  • Monitor expenses and adhere to budget
  • Source and coordinate external contractors, vendors, and suppliers as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned to help Birgo improve lives through real estate

Requirements

  • Expertise in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC
  • In-depth understanding of building systems, apartment rehabs, and vendor coordination
  • 3+ years of supervisor experience
  • 5+ years of residential maintenance experience
  • Experience managing multi-site (preferred)
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States 
  • Active driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces as well as ascend and descend ladders and staircases
