Core Responsibilities
- Maximize the operational performance of the properties
- Provide excellent customer service through prompt, professional, and authentically caring responses
- Lead leasing and retention efforts
- Report on and manage budgets
- Handle collections, delinquencies, and evictions
- Oversee maintenance tasks and curb appeal
- Lead, manage, and train the team to accomplish the goals of the property group
- Maintain clean and safe properties
- Coordinate work with external vendors
- Set the scope of and monitor progress for turnovers and capital projects
- Other duties as assigned to help Birgo improve lives through real estate
Successful Candidate Profile
Experience
- 3+ years experience as a property manager
- In-depth understanding of Morgantown’s rental market
- Experience with AppFolio or other property management software
- Scattered site experience (preferred)
Skills
- Technology savvy
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong skills in written, verbal, and persuasive communication
- Organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
Work Style
- Excited to manage multiple properties and projects simultaneously
- Careful with rules and comfortable working within established processes
- Strong commitment to timely and precise work
Other Requirements
- Reliable personal transportation and valid driver’s license for property visits during business hours and as needed after-hours
- Able to ascend/descend stairs and traverse uneven terrain
- Able to transport up to 25 lbs
- Able to use a computer for a full workday
