We are currently looking for a Infrastructure Specialist to join our team

What  you can expect in this role:

 

Reporting to the Director of Global Network Infrastructure, the Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for the advanced administration, design, deployment, and maintenance of server infrastructure systems across global data centers. This role requires expertise in virtualization platforms such as Proxmox and enterprise-level systems management. Acting as a subject matter expert, the Infrastructure Specialist ensures optimal performance, scalability, and security of the organization’s IT infrastructure. The position also involves providing mentorship to junior technicians and assisting in training sessions and documentation.

 

More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Design & Implementation
    • Design, deploy, and maintain virtualized server environments using Proxmox and other virtualization platforms.
    • Lead and support new datacenter deployments, ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and properly integrated into the overall architecture.
    • Ensure systems are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • System Administration & Maintenance
    • Perform advanced configuration and troubleshooting of servers and virtual environments.
    • Oversee backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and high-availability configurations.
    • Monitor system performance and implement enhancements where needed.
    • Manage updates, patches, and security configurations to maintain systems integrity.
  • Security & Compliance
    • Implement and maintain robust security measures across all infrastructure systems.
    • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and ensure adherence to best practices.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive security documentation and procedures.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Prepare detailed documentation of system configurations, maintenance procedures, and incident reports.
    • Draft change requests and reports related to infrastructure upgrades, modifications, and incidents.
    • Maintain accurate inventory and lifecycle management of infrastructure assets.
  • Mentoring & Training
    • Provide mentorship to technicians, guiding them through troubleshooting and best practices.
    • Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills in infrastructure management and security.
    • Ensure all technicians are kept up to date with the latest tools, technologies, and protocols.

 

Here's the profile we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position, preferably within a data center or large-scale infrastructure environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in managing virtualized server environments and enterprise-level systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive approach to learning and implementing new technologies.
  • Mastery of the work safety standards of his environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment while providing leadership and mentorship.
