About This Team

The Developer Experience (DevEx) team at BitGo exists to help engineers build with speed and clarity. Our mission is to deliver an intuitive and ergonomic developer experience, ensuring that BitGo’s APIs are fast to integrate, easy to use, and reliable. We take a product-minded approach to internal platforms, combining empathy for engineers with operational excellence.

This is a team where interns will have the opportunity to contribute directly to tools and workflows that thousands of developers rely on every day.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and improve tooling, frameworks, and workflows that enhance developer productivity and reliability.
• Partner with product and platform engineers to understand their journeys, pain points, and opportunities for efficiency.
• Implement changes that simplify integration with BitGo’s APIs, focusing on speed, clarity, and resilience against regressions.
• Use data, feedback, and first-hand experience with our tools to identify opportunities for improvement and act on them.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by refining systems, pruning inefficiencies, and scaling working solutions.
• Deliver high-quality code, tests, and documentation that raise the bar for the entire engineering organization.
• Collaborate with teammates through open communication, transparent progress reporting, and active participation in design discussions.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program, returning to school after the internship.
• Strong programming foundation in at least one modern, statically-typed or functional language (TypeScript, JavaScript, Rust, Go, OCaml, or similar).
• Familiarity with backend systems, APIs, or developer tooling (coursework, side projects, or prior internships all count).
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and improve through feedback.
• Interest in developer experience, tooling, and building systems that make other engineers more effective.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Self-motivated with the ability to drive projects forward with mentorship and guidance.

If you will be working from Canada: the current target rate for 2025 interns in Canada is $60 CAD per hour. If the market indicates this needs to change, we would share this with you during your interview process.
