Our Onboarding Team is on a mission to deliver the best first-time user experience for both institutional clients and retail users in the fast-moving world of crypto. We’re the team that builds the very first touchpoints our customers have with the BitGo platform - helping them get started quickly, seamlessly, and with confidence. From designing smooth onboarding flows to tackling complex technical challenges around identity, security, and usability, we make sure every new user feels empowered from day one.

As an intern, you’ll be part of a collaborative, high-impact team that sits at the forefront of user experience in crypto. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to real features, learn cutting-edge technologies, and make a tangible difference in how thousands of users begin their journey with us.

About our stack:

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to designing and building scalable and robust APIs, libraries, and services that power our Onboarding flow
• Work on features end-to-end with guidance from mentors - from design discussions to development, testing, and deployment
• Help document and expose functionality for use by the UI, third-party developers, and internal tools
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand product requirements and ship user-focused features
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while learning industry best practices
• Assist in ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Debug and fix issues under the guidance of your mentor
• Explore and experiment with new technologies to improve development efficiency
• Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback, to grow as an engineer
• Learn from and collaborate with experienced engineers in a supportive environment

Requirements:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Fluency in at least one modern backend programming language
• Comfortable working full-stack
• Solid engineering fundamentals and passion for high quality code
• Product intuition, user empathy, ability to make sound UX decisions
• Strong work ethic
• Interest in crypto and blockchain preferred

If you will be working from Canada: the current target rate for 2026 interns in Canada is $60 CAD per hour. If the market indicates this needs to change, we would share this with you during your interview process.
